The russian alphabet is the Cyrillic alphabet. It was named after a missionary named Cyril. He went to the russians and he translated the bible into russian. The alphabet sorta looks the greek alphabet because Cyril and his brother were greek.

Russian is a eurasia language. Russian first came from Russia and Slavic. Russia was a communist country until Ivan the terrible came and the russian revolution happened so Russia became a democracy. Boris Yeltsin was Russia's first president.
